Lancashire Victim Services
If you have been a victim of crime, whether recently or in the past, Lancashire Victim Services are here to help. They provide emotional support, information and practical help, regardless of whether you have reported the crime to the police. All services are free and confidential.
Nest Lancashire
Nest Lancashire supports young people aged 8 to 18 who have been affected by crime, bullying, threats or harassment. Young people can talk to Nest in confidence and access support free of charge.
Nest aims to help young people to recover from whatever they have experience and help young people to move forward and feel safe again.
‘Believe you can’ Instagram account
Visit the Believe You Can knife crime campaign account on Instagram to see inspirational messages and videos developed for and with young people in Lancashire.
The campaign was created by Lancashire Violence Reduction Network in 2020 to encourage young people into positive decisions and meaningful activities.
‘eyes open’ campaign
A campaign launched across the North West of England to stop county lines criminal exploitation, which is often associated with knife and violent crime.
Visit the Eyes Open website to find out about county lines exploitation, grooming, what signs to look for and where to go for help and support. There is also a schools pack and selection of posters available to download.
‘Hard calls save lives’ campaign
A campaign launched by the Met Police and Crimestoppers in 2021 led by mothers who have lost their sons to knife crime.
A series of videos and other materials shows the stories of the sons they lost and the phone calls they had to make.
The campaign aims to encourage family members to report anonymously to Crimestoppers any information they have about knife crime.

The Choice is a short film based on the real experiences of knife crime of young people across Lancashire. The package includes the film, teacher pack and student pack.
